Soren Kierkegaard

“I can live with doubt and uncertainty and not knowing. I think it is much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers that might be wrong. If we will only allow that, as we progress, we remain unsure, we will leave opportunities for alternatives. We will not become enthusiastic for the fact, the knowledge, the absolute truth of the day, but remain always uncertain … In order to make progress, one must leave the door to the unknown ajar.”

“A belief in hell and the knowledge that every ambition is doomed to frustration at the hands of the skeleton have never prevented the majority of human beings from behaving as though death were no more than an unfounded rumour … “

Joe Kubert has Hawkwoman and Hawkman face down an exceedingly toothsome T Rex, as licensed by Marvel UK in 1984 from DC for the Super Powers Annual. A moneygrubbing, slipshod business, the annual led off with the first chapter - of five - of Jack Kirby, Joey Cavalieri & Adrian Gonzalez’s Super-Powers mini-series, which finished on the following cliffhanger;

For some reason, Marvel UK decided not to print anything of the rest of the series in the book, which must have made for a frustrating X-Mas present. It’s a shameless business, knowingly printing an incomplete story in a one-off children’s annual;
